Resist the urge to hoist a full bag on top of your roof rack. Try strapping down the empty container before packing it full. The luggage should include enough weight that you do not have to worry about anything flying away. Secure the bags using the cam-buckle straps after looping the straps around the bars. Be sure to crank the cam-buckle as tightly as you need to so that there is not any extra give in the straps.
