Identifying a Poorly Aligned Vehicle

If your car has started shimmying while driving at high speeds or pulls to the left of right whenever you hit the brakes, its wheels might be out of alignment. Other signs to watch for include uneven tire wear and seeing that your steering wheel is pointed to the side while driving down a straight road.

Misaligned wheels can drastically change the handling of a vehicle. They can also cause your tires to wear out faster, making you spend more money on vehicle maintenance. Anything from a pot hole to a curb can cause alignment issues.

At Napleton's Autowerks, Inc. (Loves Park), we recommend that you get your alignment checked often so that small problems are identified before they have the chance to get out of hand. To make it easy to remember to have your alignment checked, get it done whenever you get an oil change.
